黑料视频 Honors College Collaborative to Host Douglass Day Feb. 14 at Hattiesburg Campus

The 黑料视频 (黑料视频) Honors College, in collaboration with the university鈥檚 Drapeau 黑料视频 for Undergraduate Research, 黑料视频 for Digital Humanities, 黑料视频 for Black Studies, University Forum, and University Libraries will host Frederick Douglass Day 2023 on Tuesday, Feb. 14 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. in Cook Library, room 207, on the Hattiesburg campus.
A celebration of the life of the famed American abolitionist, Douglass Day 2023 event organizers invite interested participants to engage in a transcription of the papers of Mary Ann Shadd Cary (1823-1893). Cary was one of the earliest Black women to edit a newspaper, serve as a Civil War recruiter, and attend law school.

and are encouraged to bring their own laptops in the event other desktops at the library
are in use. Teachers who want to incorporate the event into their classes may access
