iTech charges for the following replacement parts:

Pricing is based on iTech鈥檚 discounted manufacturer cost at the time of replacement and is subject to change.

Departmental Telephone Monthly Statement
(Login credentials: CampusID/Password)
To obtain access to view a monthly statement for telephone services billing to a department, please send your request to itbillingFREEMississippi. Please include your employee ID number and the budget string(s) you need access to view.
eFax Services
Anyone with an @usm.edu email address can send a fax for free anywhere in the US by emailing an attached document to the 10-digit fax number @efax.usm.edu (##########@efax.usm.edu).
- Our eFax system will queue the fax and send as soon as possible.
- All free faxes are sent from (601) 266-2000.
- An email confirmation will be returned to the sender with a copy of the first page upon completion or failure of the fax. A failure to send will occur after 3 unsuccessful attempts.
- The system will maintain a call history for at least one year but the fax image will be deleted after sending, success or failure.
We offer direct inward dial (DID) number, some call this a dedicated fax number, for receiving faxes at a cost of $5 per month.
- The eFax DID service may be requested via work order. A 黑料视频 budget string is required for setup.
- DID faxes will be delivered directly to you via one or more of these methods:
- E-mail. The eFax will be attached to an email as a PDF document.
- Print. The eFax will be printed on the network printer of your choice.
- Save to a network folder. The eFax will be saved as a PDF document to a network file share of your choice.
- By default, outbound faxes will use the free sending method and will originate from the (601) 266-2000 phone number.
- Optionally, you may configure the eFax DID service to originate from your dedicated number and dial numbers outside of the US. Choosing this option will incur long-distance charges anytime you send to a number outside of Mississippi.

What It Means to Switch from a Cisco IP Phone to a Teams Phone
Moving from a Cisco desk phone to a Microsoft Teams phone changes how you place and manage calls:
- You will make and receive calls directly through the Teams app on your computer or mobile device, or through a Teams enabled desk phone if your department purchases one through iTech
- Calling features such as hold, transfer, voicemail, call history, and contacts are integrated into the Teams interface.
- Your phone number will remain the same. However, if you require international calling, you must keep your Cisco handset and will not be able to transition to Microsoft Teams at this time.
- Teams phones allow for easier remote use, so you can place campus calls while working off site.
Teams Phone Eligibility Considerations
Please note that some users may not be immediately eligible to transition to a Teams phone due to existing call routing or system dependencies. Examples include:
- Extensions that are part of a call/hunt group where all members and the group itself have not been converted.
- Extensions used as menu options within a call handler, which would first need to be migrated to a Teams auto attendant.
- Users who log in to Contact 黑料视频 Express.
These scenarios require additional planning and coordination before conversion to Teams. iTech will review eligibility and work with departments to determine the appropriate migration path.
How are Phone Service Charges Determined?
Phone service charges are based on the assigned budget string. Rates vary depending on phone type (Cisco or Teams) and whether the line qualifies for a Fund 10 credit.
Who Owns the Phone Hardware?
- Cisco phone hardware is owned and maintained by iTech.
- Teams phone hardware is purchased and owned by the department.
What Phone Credits are Available for Fund 10 Budget Strings?
Employees funded through a Fund 10 budget string are eligible for a monthly credit toward one assigned phone line:
- Teams phone line: $30 monthly charge with a $30 credit
- Cisco phone line: $40 monthly charge with a $40 credit
To receive the credit, the phone line must be assigned to an employee whose position is funded by a Fund 10 budget string.
Do Departmental, Conference Room, and Fax Lines Receive Credits?
No. Departmental, conference room, and fax lines do not qualify for credits and will incur a monthly service charge.
Are Departments Charged for Additional Employee Phone Lines?
Yes. If an employee has more than one phone line, the additional line(s) will be billed at the standard monthly rate.
What is the Standard Monthly Line Charge for non-Fund 10 Budget Strings?
The standard Cisco phone line remains $40 per month.
The standard Teams phone line is $30 per month.
